Prenatal/Postpartum Care

Prenatal massage is tailored to the unique experience of pregnancy, and current guidance supports massage as safe in all trimesters unless contraindicated by specific conditions. Specialized bolstering and pillows allow for comfortable, appropriate positioning (beyond the second trimester, side-lying is preferred for comfort and safety. Sessions provide comprehensive care to ease muscular tension, support healthy circulation, and regulate the nervous system. Acupressure and reflexology can address common pregnancy complaints such as nausea and fatigue. Gentle stretching and range-of-motion work relieve pressure and encourage strength, flexibility, and balance. With trimester-appropriate techniques, abdominal massage supports digestive comfort and regularity, while lymphatic drainage helps reduce edema and swelling in the lower legs.

Postpartum massage supports recovery and well-being during the “fourth trimester,” addressing both physical and emotional changes after birth. Techniques and pressure are adapted to the client’s energy level and healing stage to ease muscle strain, support circulation, and calm the nervous system amid hormone shifts, sleep disruption, and the demands of newborn care. Where appropriate, gentle abdominal work can facilitate the return of abdominal and pelvic organs to their pre-pregnancy positions and aid in uterine recovery. Massage in the weeks after birth also helps with emotional regulation as the mother's body responds to rapidly changing hormone levels, sleep disruption, and the stress of caring for a newborn. Optional “warming” therapies, inspired by traditional practices, can help restore a sense of balance and replenishment. A core component of postpartum massage is providing a peaceful, uninterrupted environment to allow the new mother to focus on their healing and recovery.

Massage is provided in collaboration with your medical team. Clients should seek authorization from their healthcare professional to receive prenatal massage if there are risk factors in the pregnancy. They should receive their first postpartum massage after their post-delivery visit with their doctor or midwife.

This therapy supports the body’s natural detoxification process, reduces inflammation, and promotes tissue regeneration and healing.

Received in a fashion similar to massage, lymphatic therapy is deeply relaxing, non-invasive, and works in harmony with the body’s own rhythms. It has a wide range of benefits and is especially valuable for:
-
Plastic Surgery Preparation and Recovery: Helps reduce swelling, bruising, and fibrosis after procedures such as mastectomy, liposuction, tummy tucks, and facelifts, supporting faster and smoother healing.

Sound healing is a therapeutic practice that uses frequency, vibration, and intention to bring the body and subtle energy systems into a state of coherence and balance.
Received while lying fully clothed on a massage table or seated in a comfortable position, sound healing sessions promote awareness. The vibrations work through both the physical and energetic layers of the body, often shifting long-standing patterns of tension, emotion, and thought. This modality is especially beneficial for:

Grief Support

Grief sessions offer compassionate care for those navigating the complex and often non-linear experience of loss. Grounded in the principles of thanatology—the study of death, dying, and bereavement—and modern psychological insights, this work provides a safe space to explore grief in its many forms, whether recent or long-held, clear or ambiguous.

In 1-on-1 sessions, clients are invited to name their experience, understand their unique grief response, and find meaning within the context of their loss. Grief is not a problem to be solved, but a process to be supported. Grief support is particularly beneficial for:
-
Death of a Loved One:
Support through the acute and long-term adjustments that follow the death of a partner, family member, friend, or pet. -
Ambiguous or Disenfranchised Grief: Guidance for losses that are hard to name or not publicly acknowledged—such as estrangement, illness, loss of identity, or non-death transitions.
-
Chronic or Anticipatory Grief:
Tools to cope with ongoing grief, including long-term caregiving, terminal diagnoses, or progressive illness. -
Life Transitions & Identity Loss:
Support for major changes such as retirement, empty nesting, divorce, or job loss that challenge one’s sense of self. -
Traumatic or Complicated Grief:
Trauma-informed support when grief is sudden, layered, or intertwined with unresolved issues or systemic injustice. -
Meaning Making & Adaptation:
Facilitation of narrative integration, memory preservation, and a reimagining of life after loss. -
Emotional Regulation & Coping Strategies: Practical support to manage anxiety, numbness, guilt, anger, or overwhelm associated with the grief process.
Grief support does not impose timelines. It honors the individuality of your loss and supports your capacity to integrate it into your life. Whether you are early in your grieving or carrying a long-unspoken sorrow, this work provides space for meaning to emerge over time.
